Review: Poolarangadu - clean entertainer Hyderabad: Sunil starrer is a clean commercial entertainer. It is a well attempted comedy, mixed with romance and drama.
All the necessary commercial elements combined together with the actor's macho look serve the USP of the film.
Ranga (Sunil) is a real estate agent who often takes debts and runs from his lenders as he fails to repay them. But, one day he gets an offer to buy a piece of land which is in controversy.
Unknowingly, he buys the land as it is offered at a cheaper price. Now, he has to sell it in order to compensate his families' financial crisis and also to use the money for his sister's wedding.
He visits the 30 acres plot and gets to know that it belongs to two elders of the village who are rivals and are reluctant to sell it to any outsider.
Konda Reddy (Dev Gill) and Lala Goud (Pradeep Rawat) are rivals. Ranga has no other choice but plan a conspiracy and get the land sold.
So, he meets his childhood friend Vasu (Ali) who works for Konda Reddy. Vasu manages to find an entry for Ranga into Konda Reddy's gang.
Meanwhile, Ranga discovers that Konda Reddy loves Lala Goud's daughter Anitha (Isha Chawla). So he tries to convince her to marry Konda, his rival to solve the land issue.
Anitha, however, falls in love with Ranga. Lala Goud gets to know this and after a sentimental discussion he accepts Ranga as his son-in-law. The rest of the story revolves around how Ranga manages to create an agreement between both the rivals and sell his land.
The movie has a clean humour but fails to intensify. Director Veera Bhadram does a good job from his side.
Isha Chawla's role has limited scope but gives her best performance considering her space. Music by Anup Rubens is catchy, rhythmic and fresh. Ali's performance as usual will turn the audience into laughing mode.
Overall, the film is a Sunil's show. He is as usual good in the songs. He is flexible and boogies his fans with his funky dance style. An appreciation is definitely in way for the hard work he put in for the film and the way he worked on for his six pack.
The last 10 minutes climax where Sunil flaunts his six pack and fights the baddies with vigour and energy, stand as the highlight of the movie.
So, get into the theatres for the new hunk on the block - Sunil and enjoy a fun filled comedy with good music and dance.
'Poola Rangadu' is a onetime watcher just for the sheer relaxation it offers with out any vulgarity at a time when double meaning dialogues are ruling the roost in Tollywood.
