'Reddy garu poyaru' : RGV's next Hyderabad: Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV), who is more in the news because of his controversies and tweets rather than his movies, is now apparently busy making another controversy.
He is all set to make a sensational movie with the prevailing political conditions in Andhra Pradesh as its backdrop.
The movie,which will reportedly focus on the political climate prevalent after the death of a popular leader YS Rajasekhar Reddy. In all probability, it is expected to create chaos in the political stream.
RGV said in a detailed press release, 'Though I'm never interested in politics, I've a strong penchant to study mindset of politicians and am an ardent explorer of their psyche.'
Ask him what made him to choose the subject? The 50-year-old director says, 'I'm much influenced with the political situations that happened in the recent times of AP.
Mainly, the consequences that occurred after the death of a leader such as war between media channels, scams and scoops have swayed me.
I want to do a movie with a fiction story based on the existing conditions.' Revealing the story of the movie, he says, 'A top leader will face an accidental death that will lead to a political ire.'
Talking about the project, he says, 'The script work for the movie is in process. I will start the movie, next year, after completion of 'Department'.'
'If you throw a small stone in a pool of stagnant water, it will create ripples, whereas if you throw the same stone in political stream certainly it will turn into a tsunami,' he adds.
Apart from his upcoming movie 'Department' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Lakshmi Manchu, he also announced movies 'RGV's Ramayanam' and 'Sarkar-3'. Earlier he also announced 'Amma'- first 3D horror movie in India.
The rumour doing rounds in the tinsel town is that he will produce the Hindi remake of 'The Businessman' casting Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
His recent movies 'Not a Love Story', 'Bezawada' both based on real incidents proved to be duds at the ticket window.
