Tollywood getting corporate look Hyderabad: From the hands a few biggies, Tollywood is slowly slipping into the hands of corporate giants, so is the impression one gets going by the recent developments.
Reliance Entertainment has acquired a share in Annapurana Studios and the Reliance group has stake in business houses owned by Ramoji Rao, which includes Usha Kiron Enterprises.
Aditya Chopra had floated a new company Yash Raj Films (YRF) Deccan setting his eyes on South. UTV is the third player that has interests in South film industry. YRF is trying to remake hit Hindi films in southern languages to get a foothold.
In the process, Band Baaja Baarat may soon take a Telugu version and YRF, producers of the Hindi version, may tune it up in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The cat will come out of the bag very soon.
