Avunu sequel to hit floors on Aug 1
Avunu 2, the sequel to director Ravi Babu's earlier hit Avunu will go on floors on August 1. The sequel will feature the same cast of Harshavardhan Rane and Poorna in the lead roles.
Apparently, the movie will be completed in a single schedule. Avunu 2 will be jointly produced by Flying Frogs and Suresh Productions. Avunu which released in 2012 was speculated to have been made on a shoe-string budget of Rs 45 lakh and the movie did surprisingly well at the box-office which came as a big surprise to even the director.
The movie revolved around a newly-married couple who move into a swanky apartment in a gated-community and strange phenomena happen in their house.
Most of the film was shot at Outer Ring Road and Gandipet in Hyderabad. The promos of the film featuring a lady in a blazing red sari caught in the clutches of an elephant attracted a lot of attention and helped bring in the crowds for the film.
