Ambedkar University inks pact with US organisation MoU reflects the University's commitment to holistic education: V~C
Srikakulam: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam, has entered academic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc., California, USA. The MoU aims at promoting Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence, Peace Studies, and value-based education through structured academic and training initiatives.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. B. Addai, Registrar of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, and Dr. Challa Krishnaveer Abhishek, vice-president of EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc. in the presence of Prof. K. Remi Rajani, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University and Prof. V. Balamohandas, former Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University,during the valedictory of the national seminar on The Role of Indian Knowledge Systems in Indian Culture and Religion-Perspectives of K.S.Murthy.
This collaboration is specifically aligned with strengthening the mission and activities of the Kotta Satchidananda Murthy Centre for Multicultural, Interreligious & Peace Studies, a flagship centre of the University dedicated to fostering dialogue, ethical leadership, and social harmony.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Remi Rajani said that the MoU reflects the University's commitment to holistic education rooted in constitutional values, Indian philosophical traditions, and global peace perspectives. She noted that integrating Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Spiritual Intelligence (SQ), and Peace Education into higher education is essential for nurturing responsible global citizens.
Under the MoU, EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc. will contribute in a purely academic, voluntary, and non-financial capacity. The collaboration will focus on teaching and training in Indian Knowledge Systems, peace education, peace communication, conflict transformation, and ethical and value-based education. It also envisages organizing workshops, seminars, faculty development programs (FDPs), certificate courses, conferences, webinars, and public lectures.
EQ4Peace will provide subject-matter expertise through its president Prof. Matt Perelstein, and other global experts, supporting curriculum enrichment, research guidance, publications, and academic mentoring. The partnership also aims to develop innovative teaching modules and training materials that integrate traditional Indian wisdom with contemporary global perspectives.
Krishnaveer Abhishek, said that Indian Knowledge Systems are a repository of sustainable happiness and emotional intelligence.
