Chandrababu Naidu calls for cooperation between two Telugu states AP never opposed Kaleswaram project: AP CM
GUNTUR: AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stressed the need for coordination between two Telugu states to resolve several issues including water sharing issues. Chandrababu Naid said unity among both the Telugu states is essential to achieve top position in the country.

Participating as a chief guest at the third world Telugu Maha Sabhalu organised here on Monday, the Chief Minister offered floral tributes to NTR statue along with Goa Governor P Ashok Gajapati Raju and unveiled NTR postal stamp.
Speaking on the occasion, he said NTR launched several irrigation projects in combined Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu said after becoming the chief minister, he strived hard to allot 20 tmc of water to Telangana and for completion of Bhima lift irrigation project. He said from Godavari river around 3000 tmc of water flowing waste to Sea and from both Godavari and Krishna rivers around 6282 tmc of water flowing to sea. He said that AP never raised objection for Kaleswaram project.
Referring to mother tongue Telugu language, he said every one should protect their mother tongue. He said Telugu language got recognition as ancient language and Telugu speaking people are more after Hindi, Bengali and Marathi. He said around ten crore people are using Telugu language.He stressed the need for respecting the language of others also while protecting their own mother tongue.
He praised the efforts of Andhra Saraswat Parishat for organizing the programme and bringing together all Telugu language experts. He said that the Andhra Saraswat Parishat organized Telugu Mahasabhalu at Bhimavaram in 2022, Rajahmundry in 2024 and the Telugu Mahasabhalu will be organized in Mauritius in 2027.
He said expertise in mother tongue Telugu language is essential for growth in our career. Stating that NTR established Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said that Telugu university main centre will be set up at Rajahmundry.
The chief Minister said that Telugu people should achieve highest positions. He said that every one should make efforts to protect our language and culture. Praising the greatness of Indian family system, the Chief Minister said we should protect our culture and traditions. He said that the protection of our culture will be fulfilled once we protect our Telugu language.
Goa Governor P Ashok Gajapati Raju, AP Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu, Union minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Telugu poets, writers and several leaders were present.
