Content labs to be set up by Centre in Telangana colleges, schools 500 labs are proposed in Telangana as part of budget
The Centre has announced plans to set up Content Creator Labs in government schools and colleges across Telangana as part of the budget. These labs, expected to be around 500 in total, will provide training in various fields such as visual effects, gaming, comics, animation, and more. This initiative aims to enhance students' skills and employability, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among them.
The labs will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, offering students hands-on training in emerging technologies. This move is part of the Centre's efforts to enhance the country's skill ecosystem and foster a culture of innovation.
In addition to the Content Creator Labs, the Centre has also announced three high-speed rail corridors for Telangana: Hyderabad-Pune, Hyderabad-Chennai, and Hyderabad-Bengaluru. These corridors are expected to significantly boost connectivity and economic growth in the region.
The Centre's announcement has been welcomed by educationists and industry experts, who believe it will provide a much-needed boost to the state's education sector. However, Congress leaders have criticised the Centre for not allocating sufficient funds to Telangana in the budget.
The Centre has allocated Rs 3200 crore for the Content Creator Labs initiative in the current budget, an increase from Rs 500 crore in the previous budget. This substantial funding will be utilised to establish 30,000 labs nationwide, with Telangana anticipated to receive a significant share.
This announcement is viewed as a significant boost for Telangana, which has been advocating for increased investments in its education sector. The state's education minister has expressed enthusiasm for this move, believing it will significantly contribute to the state's efforts to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Content Creator Labs are expected to be established in phases, with the completion of the first phase anticipated by the end of the current academic year. These labs will be accessible to students from government and private schools, providing them with access to cutting-edge technology and training opportunities.
