Governor highlights achievements of AP government AP Assembly session begins
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly session began on Wednesday, with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer addressing both houses. He highlighted the government's focus on public welfare and announced several initiatives.

In his speech, Governor Nazeer stated that the government is committed to the welfare of the people and is taking decisions with this goal in mind. He mentioned that the government is implementing various DBT programs, including the Super Six Scheme, with an allocation of ₹33,000 crore per annum. The NTR Bharosa pension scheme has benefited 63.12 lakh people, while 66 lakh students have received financial aid through the Talliki Vandanam scheme.
The Governor also highlighted the government's efforts to empower women, including free bus travel through the Sthree Shakti scheme and aid to farmers through the Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme. He mentioned that the government has completed the recruitment of 15,941 teachers and 5,757 constables through the Mega DSC.
Governor Nazeer emphasized the government's commitment to transparency, announcing seven white papers on governance. He outlined plans to achieve "Zero Poverty" and provide housing for all. The government is also working on a Family Benefit Management System to provide benefits to every family.
The Governor highlighted the government's initiatives in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and employment. He mentioned that the government is working on a Universal Health Policy to provide free healthcare to all citizens. The government is also focusing on skill development and entrepreneurship, with plans to train one lakh women as entrepreneurs every year.
In his speech, Governor Nazeer also criticized the previous government's policies, stating that they had led to economic difficulties and hindered development. He praised the current government's efforts to revive the state's economy and promote development.
