President accorded warm welcome She will participate in IFR 2026
Visakhapatnam: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Visakhapatnam today to participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026. She was accorded a warm welcome by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and senior naval officers at the Naval Air Station INS Dega.

The President will review the fleet on February 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. off the Visakhapatnam coast, accompanied by dignitaries including Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The IFR 2026 is being hosted by the Indian Navy, drawing warships from dozens of nations to demonstrate cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
Key Highlights of the event:
International Fleet Review_: The President will review over 70 ships, including 19 foreign vessels, and around 50 aircraft in formation off the coast.
Presidential Banquet: A banquet will be hosted at the Naval Base tonight in honor of the President.
MILAN Exercise_: The event coincides with the 13th edition of MILAN, the Indian Navy's flagship Multilateral Naval Exercise.
IONS Conclave: The Indian Ocean Naval Symposium Conclave of Chiefs will also be held during the event.
The IFR 2026 aims to strengthen maritime cooperation and enhance engagement among friendly navies in the Indo-Pacific region.
