Ganta to seek derecognition of YSRC
He plans to write a letter to Election Commission
Visakhapatnam: YSRC leaders' outburst against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu triggered a war of words in Andhra Pradesh politics.
Bhimili MLA and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced plans to write to the Election Commission to cancel YCP's recognition. The move comes in response to YCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy annd other leaders alleged use of abusive language against CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking at a media conference, he condemned Jagan Mohan Reddy's comments, saying they are shameful and reflect the party's DNA.
He displayed Jagan Mohan Reddy's past comments, questioning how someone who uses such language can expect to be taken seriously. The MLA also recalled how YS Rajasekhara Reddy had withdrawn similar comments made against Chandrababu Naidu in the past.
He urged YSRC leaders to use respectful language in politics, warning that their behavior will be remembered as shameful in history.
Party leaders Chikkala Vijay Babu, Ganta Nukaraju, Molli Lakshmanarao, Pilla Venkatraju, and Gare Gurnath were present.
Meanwhile, BJP MP CM Ramesh has also weighed in on the issue, saying YSRC's comments are part of a diversion politics strategy. "YSRC is trying to distract people from the real issues in Andhra Pradesh," Ramesh stated, adding that the party's actions are driven by their inability to cope with the state's development under CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Ramesh criticised YSRC leaders for lacking understanding of the budget, saying they are only interested in looting and hoarding. "They should read the budget and understand the facts before making statements," he urged.
The BJP MP praised CM Chandrababu Naidu's efforts in maintaining law and order and promoting development in the state. "The people of Andhra Pradesh will not be swayed by YSRC's diversion tactics," he said.
The controversy has sparked heated debate in Andhra Pradesh politics, with many questioning YSRC's intentions and language.
