Vizag to host two-day Telugu Celebrity Cricket League
Matches to be played on Feb 28, March 21
Visakhapatnam: Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the Telugu Celebrity Cricket League will be held on February 28 and March 1 at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Madhurawada.
At a press conference, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and South MLA CH Vamsi Krishna Srinivas gave the tournament details. They said 7 teams featuring Tollywood actors, TV actors, police, bureaucrats, and politicians, with 110 celebrities will be participating in the league.
Proceeds from celebrity cricket league will be given to support poor children's education, CM's relief fund, and charity work
Ganta Srinivasa Rao highlighted the government's efforts to develop Visakhapatnam as an international sports hub, with an integrated sports complex and special stadium for differently-abled persons coming up in Kommadi.
He said after NDA alliance came to power facilities at the cricket stadium were improved and Vizag was given priority in allocating T20 and ODI matches.
Srinivasa Rao appealed to people to utilise the opportunity to witness Tollywood Celebrity League matches.
He said Visakhapatnam will witness rapid progress after inauguration of Bhogapuram international airport. Efforts are being made to complete seven master plan roads to provide connectivity to the new airport by June
