On this occasion, Minister Harish Rao said that the hospital was being constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 36 crores. As per the promise given during the previous by-elections, we are upgrading Choutuppal Hospital and 4 PHCs in the constituency.
By converting the 30-bedded community health centre in Choutuppal into a 100-bedded hospital, people in the nearby areas will get all kinds of medical services free of cost, he hoped. More than 300 people are receiving OP services every day in this clinic, and up to 50 deliveries per month were also taking place, he informed.
Besides, those injured in road accidents on National Highway 65 also get treatment here. All kinds of medical services were not available and patients go to private clinics and face financial difficulties. In view of this, MLA K Prabhakar Reddy brought this to the notice of chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and advised to make this into a 100 bedded hospital. CM has sanctioned the hospital as per the promise made during the elections.
If this dispensary gets 100 beds, the poor will get 24-hour medical services free of cost. Apart from Chautuppal, the people of Sansthannarayanapuram, Valigonda, Bhudanpochampally, Chityala, Munugodu, Chandur, Marriguda, Nampally and other mandals will get better medical services. At present, there are 5 doctors and around 30 medical staff working here. If it becomes a hundred-bed hospital, all types of surgery will be done. Along with general surgery, the services of special departments of orthopaedics, children, ear, nose, throat, gynaecology and anaesthesia will be available.
