Lokesh, Son Devaansh Witness Historic Vikram-1 Launch Sriharikota: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology and Electronics Nara Lokesh on Saturday witnessed the successful launch of Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota along with his son Devaansh. The mission marked India's first privately developed orbital launch vehicle, creating a historic milestone for the country's growing private space sector.
Ahead of the launch, Lokesh shared a message on social media describing the visit as a memorable father-son experience while highlighting the significance of India's expanding private space industry. He said every great spacefaring nation began with a dream to innovate, build and push the boundaries of what was once considered impossible. He added that the day was about celebrating that spirit.
Lokesh praised Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace for demonstrating that an Indian private company could successfully build rockets, compete globally and help shape the future of space technology.
