Visakhapatnam: The Sankar Foundation concluded its mission to eliminate avoidable blindness in 2025 with a remarkable achievement. In December, the foundation crossed a significant milestone by performing five lakh eye surgeries and treating over 29 lakh outpatients. This solidified its reputation as a leading eye care provider in the region.

Since its inception, the Sankar Foundation has remained steadfast in its vision to bring quality eye care to all. They relentlessly worked to restore sight and transform the lives of the needy.
In 2025, the foundation achieved impressive clinical performance. They performed 29,975 sight-restoring eye surgeries and conducted 5,318 additional clinical procedures. They also screened 2,01,617 outpatients. These achievements underscore the foundation's unwavering commitment to excellence in clinical care and its growing impact on communities across Andhra Pradesh.
The Outreach Team of the Sankar Foundation continued to expand its reach in 2025. They conducted 603 free eye screening camps, screened 43,804 outpatients, and performed 14,175 eye surgeries.
This initiative highlights the foundation's dedication to community-based eye care. They are committed to ensuring that no one suffers from avoidable blindness due to lack of access.
The Board of Trustees, led by M. Ramdas, along with the Managing Trustee, A. Krishna Kumar, Trustees A. Prasanna Kumar, A. Vijay Kumar, and General Manager K. Radhakrishnan, commended the doctors, staff, and the entire workforce for their remarkable dedication and performance.
